2008 James Wakefield
Participating in the James Wakefield Rescue Row sponsored by the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum on October 11th, the Vergennes Varsity Rowing team took first place honors. Nine schools from Maine, Massachusetts, and Vermont with over 120 rowers competed in the October 11th annual event held at Burlington Waterfront. The team, consisting of Damian Strona, Dan Averill, Ethan Baldwin, Spencer Howard, Jarrett Clark, Patrick McCarthy, and coxswain, Adam Bunde finished first in First Oar Sixes category. The team of Dale Eriksen, Jesse Bunde, Max Campono, Josh Cook, Alex Hulfish and coxswain Ashley Eriksen finished second overall in the novice six oared division.
