Native American Studies

The course provides you with in-depth learning opportunities of Native American cultures and requires you to use critical thinking skills in addressing the Overarching and Topical Questions. The course will focus on economic, social/cultural, geographic/environmental, scientific/technological, and political forces that affected these cultures past and present. Issues such as identity and interdependence, conflicts and conflict resolutions, human rights and diversity, and formal recognition will be analyzed. You will demonstrate mastery of the Overarching and Topical Questions in a final performance assessment..
