Scholarship opportunities for LGBTQ+ students can be found here. Scholarship awards in this list are specifically set for the LGBTQ+ community. All of them cover vocational and trade school, and many of them extend to any tuition-based education program. Hundreds of degree programs - not offered by Vermont's public colleges - are available with a significant discount on out-of-state tuition at public colleges in the five other New England states. As a permanent resident of a New England state, a student is eligible for the RSP when enrolled in an approved degree program offered by a specific public college or university in another New England state. Information on approved majors (associate, bachelor's and graduate) is available under "Tuition Break" and then "Find a Program" at http://www.nebhe.org/ Other information is also available on that website and pamphlets are also available in the School Counseling Office.

This scholarship program awards 350 $4,000 scholarships to the children and grandchildren of Elks members. Children and grandchildren of dues-paying Elks are welcome to apply. Each year, the New England Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (NEACRAO) awards scholarships to three high school graduates who will be enrolling in a NEACRAO member institution for the fall semester of that year. Each high school graduate who is selected is awarded $2,000 (upon proof of enrollment at the NEACRAO member institution for the fall semester of that year). Each recipient of the scholarship is selected from candidates who are recommended by New England secondary school guidance professionals. Five $1,000.00 scholarships will be awarded. Seniors who are sons or daughters of a Knight of Columbus are eligible to apply. An Applicant may be a member of the Knights of Columbus or Columbian Squires Circle. Application packet is available in the School Counseling Office. Application deadline: Applications must be returned to the scholarship chair by March 10, 2023. Important note: There is a section of this application that needs to be completed by your School Counselor - please be sure your counselor receives the form and your request to complete it before March 1 so the deadline can be met. One $3,000.00 scholarship is provided by the Vermont Superintendents Association. Vermont residents demonstrating a commitment to further their education after graduation may apply. Selection criteria: The selected recipient will have demonstrated initiative in overcoming a specific challenge or challenges, leadership and service to their community as well as academic achievement. The American Legion Department of Vermont will award $7,500.00 in scholarships this year. Any senior applying to further their education after graduation at college or university should apply for this scholarship. Application is available in the School Counseling Office. Students who have a current and active affiliation with the game of golf such as competing on a golf team, working at a golf course, and/or participating in golf programs or events are eligible to apply for this scholarship. Two $2,000.00 scholarships will be awarded. You must be a member of Vermont Federal Credit Union to apply for this scholarship. Application can be found here, online only. The National, State, Targeted Scholarships are now open. Scholarships are available for Juniors and Seniors. Scholarships range from $10,000 - $50,000. Horatio Alger Career and Technical scholarship applications will open on March 15, 2023. The deadline for Career and Technical Scholarships is June 15, 2023. (posted 12/14/22)
Scholarships are provided by the local Burlington Elks Lodge (BPOE #916). Children, step-children, grandchildren, step-grandchildren and legal wards of a member of the local Burlington Elks Lodge are eligible to apply. The Stephen Phillips Memorial Scholarship Fund offers renewable, four-year scholarships to students with financial need who display academic achievement, a commitment to serving others (in school, the community or at home), a consistent history of part-time work, grit and passion for overcoming obstacles and/or achieving future goals, and leadership qualities.
